Roy was the oldest child of the above parents and the last to take the fever which has been so prevalent in this vicinity this fall. (Kansan - Concordia, Cloud County, KS - October 10, 1895) It is with sadness that we record the death of Roy Macy of Arion. He had been sick some time with fever, but death finally resulted from hemorrhage. He was the oldest child of Alfred N. and Laura Macy and was ten years and six months old. A child who had endeared himself to all who knew him by his kind and cheerful disposition, and his willingness to be a helper in any way he could be of use. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Macyville, Rev. Vandervort officiating. (Concordia Empire - Concordia, Cloud County, KS - October 10, 1895)
