Description	:	Roy was born five miles southeast of Gridley, the son of Isaac Massey and Lydia E. Love. He died of pneumonia at Camp Dix, NJ, following an attack of Spanish Influenza just as he was ready to set sail for France. Roy first enlisted in the National Guards September 1917 in Loveland, CO, and sent to Camp Cody, NM, and placed in the Sand Storm Division.
