Description	:	Roy H. Sombke, 70, died Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Colonial Manor. Services were Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Andover with the Rev. Dennis Huntington officiating. Mrs. Richard Marske was the organist and the congregation sang "Abide With Me" and "What a Friend We Have In Jesus." Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen. The Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Emmet Anderson, Russell Harry, Charles Johnson, James Johnson, Jerry Rossow and Robert Rossow. Mr. Sombke was born Jan. 15, 1909, at Ferney. He grew up in that area and married Hazel Hitchcock Jan. 24, 1935 at Groton. He had been a farmer in the Groton-Ferney-Andover area most of his life. Survivors include his widow, one son, Duane, of Pinole, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Karen) Norris, of Renton, Wash.; two brothers, Clarence of Conde; and Ora, of Houghton; one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Josephine) Harry, of Ferney; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
