Servoss, 73, Armington, a resident of that community since 1918, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at Armington. He was stricken while working with a friend near Armington. He was born Dec. 26, 1891, at Kibby, and lived at Monarch until 1918, when he moved to Armington. As a young man he worked as a stationary engineer in mines at Neihart. Servoss, 73, Armington, a resident of that community since 1918, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at Armington. He was stricken while working with a friend near Armington. He was born Dec. 26, 1891, at Kibby, and lived at Monarch until 1918, when he moved to Armington. As a young man he worked as a stationary engineer in mines at Neihart. A member of the Disabled American Veterans, he was a World War I Army veteran. Upon his return from the service, he worked for the A. H. MacDonald General Store at Armington for several years. Later he worked for the Montana Highway Department until 1941. Then he was employed at East Base until retiring two years ago. While working at the base, he also worked as a stationary engineer. Survivors include the widow, the former Mae M. Nordquist, whom he married June 27, 1923, at Armington; two sons, Russell W., Belt, and Frank L., Chinook; six grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Pearl Rose, Canada; Mrs. Maggie Knowles, Kelso, Wash.; Mrs. Ida Halmes, Belt and Mrs. Evelyn Morris, Gardiner. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and Lodge 137, AF&AM, Belt; the Belt American Legion Post, and the DAV.
