Description	:	Roy J. Hruska 1929 - 2013 Our friend Roy J. Hruska passed away in his home on July 22, 2013. He was eighty-five years of age. Born June 28, 1929. He was one of nine brothers and single sister, growing up in Lewistown, Montana. He received his education in the Catholic schools of his hometown and upon graduating from High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years in Korea and Japan. Hruska passed away in his home on July 22, 2013. He was eighty-five years of age. Born June 28, 1929. He was one of nine brothers and single sister, growing up in Lewistown, Montana. He received his education in the Catholic schools of his hometown and upon graduating from High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years in Korea and Japan. Roy returned to the States and established himself in San Francisco, where he opened a very successful food distribution business, purchased a home and settled in the neighborhood of Noe Valley. He was an active member of St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and upon his retirement served his parish for many years by running the weekly Bingo and pursued his life long passion for golf. He was loved by everyone who met him. By his generous nature it was not uncommon for him to purchase and deliver meals to needy people. His friends at Harding Park Golf Course, Pomeroy Recreation Center, Saint Philip and Saint James Parishes, his numerous friends from Washington State and his home town of choice, San Francisco, will miss him dearly. His family well beyond the first generation of nieces and nephews will truly miss their Uncle Roy. He leaves a huge void with the members of his family and friends. He is an organ donor and requested cremation with no services. His ashes will be inurned in the Hruska Family Gravesite in Lewistown, Montana.
