Description	:	Luther Roy Millard was born Nov. 18, 1896 near Osceola, Clarke Co. Iowa. He always went by Roy, sometimes using Luther as a middle name. He married Sylvia Barnes February 14, 1918 in Clarke Co. They lived in both Union & Clarke Co. where he engaged in farming for several years. They had 3 children, Gladys, Leroy, who died at birth, & Virginia. In the 1940's they moved to Woodburn where Roy worked at the locker, & soon purchased it. He always went by Roy, sometimes using Luther as a middle name. He married Sylvia Barnes February 14, 1918 in Clarke Co. They lived in both Union & Clarke Co. where he engaged in farming for several years. They had 3 children, Gladys, Leroy, who died at birth, & Virginia. In the 1940's they moved to Woodburn where Roy worked at the locker, & soon purchased it. He & wife Sylvia operated the plant for nearly 20 years. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge & Eastern Star in Woodburn. His favorite pastimes were playing pool & pitching horse shoes. The locker had an outside area for games of horse shoe pitching. He departed this life April 10, 1966, Easter Sunday, at his home in Woodburn from a heart attack. Funeral services were held from the Webster Funeral Home on April 12th.
