His death was a blow to the community for he had not been ill previous to his demise. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Wright Funeral home in Oshkosh. Rev. O. W. Michel of Oshkosh was in charge and final interment was made in the Ash Hollow cemetery at Lewellen. Mr. Roblee had lived in both the Lewellen and Lisco communities during his 45 years residence in Garden county. His ability to win and hold friends was recognized by the fact the funeral was one of the largest in recent years. He was born in Custer county on January 20, 1889, the son of Lafayette and Ella M. [Fuller] Roblee. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 61 years, nine months and eight days. In 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Inez Durand. To this union two children were born, a son, LaVern, and a daughter, Lucille. The Roblees homesteaded on a farm near Lewellen and remained there until 11 years ago when they moved to a farm near Lisco. After five years on that farm they moved to Lisco and for the past six years have resided in that town. He was a member of the Oddfellows lodge in Lewellen. For the most part of his life he farmed but while a resident of Lisco he engaged in the carpenter trade. Surviving relatives include his widow, Inez; his son, LaVern of Gothenburg; a daughter, Mrs Lucille Benson, Oshkosh; two brothers, Stanley and Lawrence of Ansley; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Delatour, Ft. Collins Colorado; seven grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Those who came from out-of-town to attend the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Roblee, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Roblee, and son and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Samp, all of Ansley; Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Roblee, Gothenburg; Mrs. Fred Durand and Betty, Sidney; Bill Durand, Chappell; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Durand, Bridgeport; and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mapel and family, Plainview, Texas.
