Description	:	Roy M. Abbott was one of twelve children born to Rev. Wilburn T. & Louisa Alexander Abbott, in Oconee County, SC. He had lived in Seneca for 40 years, and was employed in the family furniture, music, and funeral business, the latter with his brother, Bert B. Abbott. He was a member of Seneca Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a life long Mason. Funeral services for Roy Abbott were held Saturday, July 27, 1957 at Seneca Baptist Church by Rev. James P. Stokes and Rev. E.V. Babb. Burial: Oconee Memorial Park, with Masonic rites at the graveside.
