Zimmerly, Sr. of Vancouver, Washington, peacefully stepped into Jesus' arms April 20, 2012. He was born at home in Ridgefield, Washington on July 18, 1941 and lived in Clark County his entire life. Roy never thought his livelihood was work, to him it was fun to play in the dirt whether it was farming, heavy construction or his mining operation. July 18, 1941 ~ April 20, 2012 "He treasured his family and friends and held them close in his heart." Roy P. Zimmerly, Sr. of Vancouver, Washington, peacefully stepped into Jesus' arms April 20, 2012. He was born at home in Ridgefield, Washington on July 18, 1941 and lived in Clark County his entire life. Roy never thought his livelihood was work, to him it was fun to play in the dirt whether it was farming, heavy construction or his mining operation. He was blessed with the gift of being one of the best equipment operators. Whether in business or working for someone else he was always fair and honest. Roy is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Roy "Buddy" (Julie); grandson, Phillip; granddaughter, Jessica; five sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Helen Zimmerly; and two brothers, Paul and Dan Zimmerly. Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Camas Nazarene Church, 2204 NE Birch St., Camas, Washington. Published in The Columbian, Vancouver, Washington on May 6, 2012
