He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Parker and Mary Reed Parker; Siblings, Kenneth (Mamie) Parker, Norma Vance, Grady (Alice) Parker, Coy (Patsy) Parker; Grandson, Logan Parker; Nieces, Brenda Parker and Tracey Todd; Brothers-in-law, Kenneth Simpson and Charles Donnell. Mr. Parker was a member of Woodbury First Baptist Church. He was retired from General Electric after 24 years of service. He also retired from the Town of Woodbury as the City Manager after 25 years. He was an active member in Cannon County Sports: High School, Junior Pro Basketball, and Dixie Youth Baseball. He also served on the Cannon County School Board. Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Mitchell, Bro. Dean Anderson, and Bro. Bobby Zumbro officiating. Interment will follow at Parker Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Monday, August 3, 2020 at Woodbury Funeral Home and from 10 am until time of service on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
