Description	:	WEST HARTFORD, CONN. - Roy Thomas Young, 75, died November 16, 2016, at Hartford Hospital. Born July 26, 1941, he was the son of the late George E. and Katherine (Ryan) Young. Roy graduated from the Greenville High School, Class of 1959, and was a peace time veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1959-1962. From 1963-2002, Roy was employed at the Institute of the Living for 32 years and then after the merger, an additional 7 years with Hartford Hospital. He was predeceased by his sister, Roma (Merle) Larabee of Shirley Mills. Per Roy's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. His ashes will be placed in the family lot at Shirley Village Cemetery, Shirley Mills, privately at a later date.
