Description	:	Royal Lashbrook died at his home in Fairmont, Monday, October 9, at 11:45 a.m. He was born in New York state, June 15, 1844, and was seventy-two year old at the time of his death. For a number of years, Mr. Lashbrook had been in ill health, but had only taken to his bed Wednesday of last week. The immediate cause of his death was ulceration of the stomach. Read More	Royal Lashbrook died at his home in Fairmont, Monday, October 9, at 11:45 a.m. He was born in New York state, June 15, 1844, and was seventy-two year old at the time of his death. For a number of years, Mr. Lashbrook had been in ill health, but had only taken to his bed Wednesday of last week. The immediate cause of his death was ulceration of the stomach. Mr. Lashbrook and family came to Nebraska from Iowa in 1884 and have since made their home in Fairmont and vicinity. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. C.V.. Nichols and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the family home Tuesday at two p.m., conducted by Rev. W.B. Kline of the Congregational church. Music was furnished by the Congregational choir. An unusually large number of people assembled to pay their last respects to their old neighbor and friend. Services at the cemetery were under the auspices of the I.O.O.F., of which order he was a member. He was also a member of the A.O.U.W and Rebekah lodges, and a union veteran of the Civil War.
