He was born August 16, 1944 at South Bend, IN, the son of Delmer and Margaret (Brown) of Silver Lake, IN. He was a farmer and a parts manager for Kerlin Tractor Sales of Silver Lake for 34 years. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1962 and was also an auctioneer for the past 15 years. He was a 30-year member of the Silver Lake Fire Department, a 25-year member of the Silver Lake Dons Club, and a member of the Indiana Auctioneers Association. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1518, Eagles Lodge, and the American Legion, all of North Manchester. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Susan E. Leckrone May 25, 1968 who survives, along with a son, Robert R. Clark of Silver Lake; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Lynch of Claypool, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Clark of Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Alan Clark in 1977. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 29, 1998 at the Center United Methodist Church, SR 15N, Silver Lake, IN with the Rev. Martha Cory officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery of Silver Lake. Preferred memorials are to the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Department. DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
