| Description | : | Reuben Farlow, was born in North Carolina in February, 1785, and in 1811 emigrated to the territory of Indiana, into which few white settlers had made their way, that state being then largely under the dominion of the red race. He participated in the wars against the Indians and acted as guard in one of the block houses built on the frontier. He followed farming as a life work and died July 25, 1854.
