Description	:	Ruby Adavilla Bollivar 1995 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Ruby Adavilla Bollivar, 94, of Conquerall Bank, occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 11, 1995, at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Mrs. Bollivar was born, with twin sister, Pearl, at Conquerall Bank, February 24, 1901, daughter of the late Joseph G. Rafuse and Hattie E. (Corkum) Rafuse. Of a quiet and kind disposition, and despite the knowledge of her serious illness, she smilingly greeted the many friends who visited for "the Rafuse twins" 94th. birthday, less than three weeks before her death. Mrs. Bollivar was born, with twin sister, Pearl, at Conquerall Bank, February 24, 1901, daughter of the late Joseph G. Rafuse and Hattie E. (Corkum) Rafuse. Of a quiet and kind disposition, and despite the knowledge of her serious illness, she smilingly greeted the many friends who visited for "the Rafuse twins" 94th. birthday, less than three weeks before her death. In earlier years, Mrs. Bollivar was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills,where she taught Sunday School for many years. She resided for some years in Shubenacadie, where she made many friends. After her return to Conquerall Bank, 33 years ago, to live in the family home with her twin, she became one of the first active members of the Conquerall Bank Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She also participated in St. Augustine's A.C.W. activities, and at the Sunday morning service, March 12, the final hymn, "Blessed Be THe Tie That Binds" was sung in tribute to her. Mrs. Bollivar is survived by sons, Allen, Hebb's Cross; and Reggie, Conquerall Mills; sisters, Pearl Falkenham and Norma Rafuse, Conquerall Bank; nephews, Hector Rafuse, Randolph, Vermont; and Glenn Falkenham, Dartmouth; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Robert; and a brother, Harold. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
