Description	:	Ruby C. Naylor, 74, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Naylor, daughter of Marvin and Mabel (Spaid) Smith was born May 6, 1941 in rural Green Mountain, Iowa. She graduated from Green Mountain High School as Valedictorian, having earned the highest grade point average ever recorded there. She was united in marriage to Charles Naylor on September 3, 1960 at the Gladbrook Chapel United Methodist Church. Three children were born to them: Scott, Brent, and Kerry. Charles and Ruby raised their children in Geneseo Illinois, and were founding members of the Geneseo Evangelical Free Church. After Charles retired, they spent their later years in Marshalltown Iowa, and attended New Hope Christian Church. Ruby had just moved to Mt Gilead Ohio to be with her children in January of this year. Ruby is survived by her children: Scott (Robin) of Wheaton, IL, Brent of Davenport, IA, and Kerry (Lori) of Mt. Gilead, OH; Grandchildren Zachary, Aidan (Scott); Jonathan, Emma, Charles, William, Vinton and Kathryn (Kerry); brothers, Kenneth (Fran), Gerald (JoAnn), and Matthew (Judith), all of Marshalltown; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles, brother George, and grandson Evan (Scott). Funeral services for Ruby Naylor were held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Homes, Main St. Chapel, in Marshalltown, Iowa with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating, accompanied by pianist Jane Jech. Ruby was laid to rest at Green Mountain Cemetery in Green Mountain, Iowa. Casket bearers were Zachary Naylor, Aidan Naylor, Jonathan Naylor, Charles Naylor, Benjamin Smith, Alan Smith. The Anderson Funeral Homes was entrusted with the arrangements.
