Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday evening and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Friday, February 5th, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Oakboro, NC. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Oakboro, NC. She was preceded in death by a half brother, Kenneth L. Smith, and three sisters, Edna Turner, Lucille Helms and Helen Hatley. She is survived by her husband C.F. "Lum" Hinson; two sons: Douglas Hinson of Oakboro, NC and Terry F. Hinson of Jacksonville, NC; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
