Description	:	Ruby Fae DeGarmo Stone was born Nov. 30, 1919 in Early to Guy Phillip and Edna Lucille Stocks DeGarmo. She graduated from Early High School in 1937 and spent the first twenty-one years of her life in Early. On Mar. 2, 1941, at the home of her parents she was united in marriage to Ernest Robert Stone of Edgewood. Their union was blessed with two children, Billie Kaye and Robert Melvin. Read More	Ruby Fae DeGarmo Stone was born Nov. 30, 1919 in Early to Guy Phillip and Edna Lucille Stocks DeGarmo. She graduated from Early High School in 1937 and spent the first twenty-one years of her life in Early. On Mar. 2, 1941, at the home of her parents she was united in marriage to Ernest Robert Stone of Edgewood. Their union was blessed with two children, Billie Kaye and Robert Melvin. E.R. and Ruby spent many years traveling in connection with E.R.'s work, finally settling in Early in 1951. Ruby had resided in Clarion for the past eight years and prior to that she and E.R. lived in Early. She was a lifelong member of the Early First Presbyterian Church, including the Ladies Aide and and served the church in many capacities. In Clarion she was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and ECHO. Ruby's husband, children, grandchildren, great grandson and extended family were her priorities in life. She concentrated all her time and energy in teaching them by example the virtues of unconditional love. Her presence will be sorely missed by all those who loved her, but she left behind a legacy of courage, perseverance and faith in the face of adversities beyond her control. Preceding her in death were her parents. Guy and Edna DeGarmo; her husband, E.R.; a brother, Melvin (Bub) and sisters, Frances (Tat) Hill and Judy DeGarmo. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Billie and Darrell Determann, Clarion; a son, Robert Stone, Medford, Oreg.; five grandchildren. Guy Determann, Boulder, Colo.: Amy Wooster, Eagle Grove; Amy Stone, and Hilary and Kirsten Stone, Medford, Oreg.; a great-grandson, Randy Joseph Wooster; a sister and her husband, Jean and Tom Engler. Fort Dodge; a brother and his wife. John and Margaret DeGarmo, Des Moines; a brother-in-law, Floyd Hill, Early; a brother-in-law and his wife, Merwin and Marion Stone, Edgewood; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.
