The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 2 PM at Grace Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM, with Rev. Delane Burris and Rev. Gary Pinion officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park. Ruby was born in Stanly County on July 15, 1927, to the late Kelsey Ervin Whitley and the late Ossie Lee Cline Whitley. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert William Litaker, and son, Wayne Litaker. She is survived by her son, Larry Litaker and wife Linda of Albemarle; her daughter, Janice Blalock and husband Eddie of Albemarle; grandchildren, Brian Blalock and wife Laura, Michael Litaker, Lionel Litaker and friend Nikki, Matt Litaker, Leigh Anne Litaker and friend, Smith, all of Albemarle; and great grandchildren, Justin Blalock and wife Jennifer, and Derek Blalock and friend Mattie, all of Albemarle. Ruby was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She loved her cats and flower garden, and was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Ruby worked at Wiscasset Mills for 46 years. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 644 Edgemont St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Litaker family.
