Description	:	SALISBURY - Ruby Frances Brown Lyerly, 88, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at her home. Born Sept. 8, 1920, in Davie County, she was the daughter of the late Lummie Hinkle Brown and Charlie Carr Brown. Preceding her in death was her husband, Eubert Walter Lyerly, whom she married Jan. 31, 1939, and who died Aug. 27, 2000. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Barbara Ann Lyerly; brothers Walter, Robert and William Brown; sisters Inez William and Annie Mae Correll. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Barbara Ann Lyerly; brothers Walter, Robert and William Brown; sisters Inez William and Annie Mae Correll. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Lyerly, Donald Lyerly (Brenda), all of Salisbury, Terry Lyerly (Shelia) of Cleveland, and Jerry Lyerly of Salisbury; daughters Wanda Renee Julian (Alan), also of Salisbury, Anita L. Mullis (Gil) of Advance; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Educated in the Davie County schools, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Lyerly was a member of Cleveland Presbyterian Church for more than 65 years. Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1 at Cleveland Presbyterian Church, where she will lie in-state for 30 minutes before the service. The Rev. André Resner will officiate. Burial will follow in Cleveland Town Cemetery. Memorials: Cleveland Presbyterian Church, 101 Maple St., Cleveland, NC 27013. Lyerly Funeral Home is assisting the Lyerly family.
