Description	:	OBIT: Ruby H. Haberman, 95, long-time Ellensburg resident passed away on Friday, October 1, 1999 at the Kittitas County Community Hospital. She was born December 5, 1903 to Thomas and Anna Hodgson in Ellensburg. Ruby was married to George Haberman on December 30, 1925. The two owned and operated a farm in the Fairview District for many years. George preceded Ruby in death on October 30, 1993 after sixty seven years of marriage. Haberman, 95, long-time Ellensburg resident passed away on Friday, October 1, 1999 at the Kittitas County Community Hospital. She was born December 5, 1903 to Thomas and Anna Hodgson in Ellensburg. Ruby was married to George Haberman on December 30, 1925. The two owned and operated a farm in the Fairview District for many years. George preceded Ruby in death on October 30, 1993 after sixty seven years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Schnebly; and two brothers, Will and George Hodgson. Ruby is survived by her sister, Helen Thomas; two sons, Joseph (Erma) Haberman of Ellensburg and Richard (Ginger) Haberman of Forks; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a nephew, Franklin (Billie) Schnebly. Ruby attended the Upper Naneum County School and later graduated from Ellensburg High School. George and Ruby were members of the Kittitas County Farm Bureau, volunteered at the Kittitas County Fair and Ruby was one of the first members of the Jolly Neighbors Club. Ruby was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. She loved to garden, cook and entertain friends and family. "The light of her love, the tenderness of her caring and the warmth of her presence lives on through the lives of those who called her Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother." A memorial service will be held at Steward & Williams Funeral Home, 301 E. 3rd Ellensburg on October 6 at 1 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to your charity of choice.
