Description	:	Ruby J. Long Morris, 91, died at 7:10 p.m. March 3, 2010, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Wapakoneta to William Nelson and Flora Belle Arthur Wheeler, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 29, 1938, she married Paul W. Long, who died April 18, 1961. In 1965, she married Floyd L. Morris, who died in 1975. Mrs. Morris retired as a transport from the Radiology Department at St. Rita's Medical Center and as a cook from Elida schools. In 1965, she married Floyd L. Morris, who died in 1975. Mrs. Morris retired as a transport from the Radiology Department at St. Rita's Medical Center and as a cook from Elida schools. She had also worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima. Following her retirement, she continued to volunteer at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was a member of The Church at Allentown. She had been an Avon representative and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survivors include three sons, Ralph W. (Judy) Long Sr., of Elida, and Leslie J. (Andrea) Long and Donald P. (Lynn) Long, both of Lima; a sister, Crystal Hollar Miller, of Lima; five grandchildren, Ralph (Judy) Long Jr., James P. Long, Jessica (Jeremy) Rahrig, Aaron C. Long and Ryan M. Long; two stepgrandchildren, Kerri A. Herbst and Kevin M. Herbst; and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Long, Tracey Long, Paul "P.W." Long and Jaxon Rahrig. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald C. Long; eight brothers, Roy, Harley, Russell, Clarence, Frank, Leonard "Petie," Lester and Victor Wheeler; and two sisters, Pearl Hullinger Carolus and Opal Stever. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Rosalie Lora will officiate. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
