Description	:	IDAHO – Ruby Jane Franks, beloved wife of Louis Dale Jeffrey Sr., passed peacefully on April 1, 2018, at her home in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Ruby was born in Greenwood on Jan. 16, 1920, to Rose (Durban) and William Franks. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Ruby was born in Greenwood on Jan. 16, 1920, to Rose (Durban) and William Franks. She and her twin sister Ruth were placed in boxes on the cook stove to keep them warm. She became one of her father's farm hands, driving a team of mules while her sister Ruth worked in the house. Ruby loved everything outdoors, gardening, fishing and more. Ruby graduated from Greenwood High School in 1938, teaching elementary school her senior year while attending classes. During Senior Sneak Day, she went to Kansas, where she married Louis Jeffrey. They resided north of Waverly for their 38 years of marriage and had five children. Louis died in 1976. Ruby continued to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, until her retirement at age 62. She then moved to San Juan, Texas, where she resided until 1997 when she moved to Glenns Ferry to be near her sons. She was an avid bead artist, crocheter, a ferocious reader, gardener and lover of life. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Godby of Arizona; children, Dawna Ruth Jewett (Harold) of Livingston, Mont., Louis Dale Jeffrey Jr. of Glenns Ferry, Idaho, Jenny Sue Bevans (Leslie) Roscoe of Illinois and William Lloyd Jeffrey (Julie) of Glenns Ferry, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her half-sister, Opal Johnson; half-brother, Guy Franks; brother, Donald Franks; and daughter, Mary Louise Allan.
