June was born in 1937 to Arthur and Ruby Butler in La Grande, OR. She grew up in Coulee Dam and Warden, Washington where she graduated high school, married Howard Kisler and started her family. Read More	Ruby June Donohue passed away with peace and grace the morning of March 5, 2016 from complications of Diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. She was 78 years old. June was born in 1937 to Arthur and Ruby Butler in La Grande, OR. She grew up in Coulee Dam and Warden, Washington where she graduated high school, married Howard Kisler and started her family. June came to Olympia in 1968 where she later met and married Kenneth Donohue. Together they founded and operated Donohue Construction Co. and ERA Delta Real Estate. June was very active in the community, serving as President of Olympia Master Builders, Thurston County Multiple Listing Service and the Puget Sound ERA Broker's Council. She served as a member of the City of Lacey Planning Commission for 4 years and as a Board member for the Hands On Children's Museum. She received numerous awards for her contributions and made a friend of every person she met along the way. June culminated her working career as Membership Coordinator for the Building Industry Association of Washington in 2002. June is survived by her son, Kendal and his wife Dana (Marysville); her daughter, Kay (Olympia); her stepson, Alfred and his wife Jen (Seattle); and four grandsons: Chris, Danny, Dylan and Elliot; numerous loving relatives and close friends, all of whom filled her life with an abundance of joy. Her loving parents, brothers, Robert and Rodney, and her beloved Ken precede her in death. Because of her long and difficult struggle with Diabetes and Alzheimer's disease, and in keeping with June's loving and generous spirit, she was a donor for the advancement of medical science. It is comforting to the family that she continues to contribute toward the benefit of others even after her passing.
