Description	:	Ruby Kathryn Green Dyer, daughter of Ora and Adeline (Keller) Green, was born April 17, 1907, in York County near Bradshaw, and passed away Tuesday, April 23, 1985, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend, at the age of 78 years and 6 days. She was one of nine children and resided with her family on a farm near Aurora from 1911 to 1927 when they moved to Exeter where she lived until her marriage to W. Jay Dyer on March 6, 1929. Read More	Ruby Kathryn Green Dyer, daughter of Ora and Adeline (Keller) Green, was born April 17, 1907, in York County near Bradshaw, and passed away Tuesday, April 23, 1985, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend, at the age of 78 years and 6 days. She was one of nine children and resided with her family on a farm near Aurora from 1911 to 1927 when they moved to Exeter where she lived until her marriage to W. Jay Dyer on March 6, 1929. To this union a daughter, Shirley (Mrs. Robert Dean) Lovegrove of Fairmont and a son, Sterling were born. They made their home on a farm southeast of Exeter. Her husband, Jay passed away on May 23, 1976. Ruby remained on their farm two years, until August 1978, moving to the home she built in Exeter, where she spent her remaining years. Ruby was a member of the United Church of Christ, and of the Women's Society of the United Church of Christ; she was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Evergreen Extension Club. Most of her life was spent on their farm, caring for her family. Ruby enjoyed attending and working for her church, and took a special pride in her home and flowers. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also occupied a special place in her heart. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor, and her kind and caring way. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley and husband, Robert Dean Lovegrove; a son, Sterling and wife, Caroline; one brother, Milburn of Lincoln; two sisters, Marie Wolff of Aurora and Darlene Lance of Benton, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Mildred Dyer Godwin of Vista, Cal., and Ada Green of Aurora; three grandsons, Jim and his wife, Paula, John and his wife, Patrice, and Bob and his wife, Vicki Lovegrove; four great-grandchildren, Lisa, Justin, Christin and Brandon Lovegrove; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the United Church of Christ in Exeter of Friday, April 26, with the Rev. Charles G. Schepel officiating. Mrs. Evelyn Mitchell accompanied Robert Rhodes, who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden." Those serving as pallbearers were Geard Wolff, Lavern Wolff, Bud Hansen, Harlen Green, Raymond Green and Steve Green. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal May 2nd, 1985 page 18.
