Description	:	Ruby Douglass, age 95 of Shelbyville, died November 9, 2003 at the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina. Ruby was born in Shelbyville, on February 5, 1908, the daughter of the late Willis J and Mary Belle Hart McCracken. She was united in marriage to Marvin Douglass on January 8, 1927, in Macon, Missouri. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Douglass is survived by three children, Mary Lou Hunt of Apopka, Florida, Lynn Douglass of Shelbyville, and J C Douglass also of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, Bobby Mac Douglass. Ruby was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Club, the Epworth Extension Club, and the Frye Extension Club. She was a member of the Shelbyville Christian Church, enjoyed gardening and helped with the Blood Mobile. Mrs. Douglass was also a 4-H leader in Shelby county for many years.
