Description	:	Funeral services will be held on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gregory. A Wake service with Rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Gregory.RUBY HALVA Ruby Mae Hageman Halva was born July 14, 1925 at Lynch, Nebraska, the daughter of Ray and Lillie Hageman. The family moved to the Burke, SD area where she grew up and completed the 8th grade in the Burke school. She was married to Neil Halva on January 1, 1945 by Father James Tunnison in Hamill. Two sons, Terry and Gary were born to this union. The couple made their first home near Dixon, and soon moved to a farm north of Gregory where they were living with their two sons when the 1962 tornado completely destroyed their farm. They then made their home on the Frank Halva farm which has been their home until the present. Her husband Neil died in 1984 and Ruby continued to live on the farm with her two sons. She enjoyed sporting events and she and Terry were regular attenders at all of the home sporting events. They were chosen as fans of the year by the high school athletics department. Ruby and Terry were faithful members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She also liked to attend auctions. She died very unexpectedly on November 17, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers Everett and Leonard as a young child – and by a sister Hazel (Ted) Warren. Surviving are her two sons: Terry and Gary on the home farm, her sister Alice Brevik of the Chicago area, and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
