Rev. Charles Fry officiated. Interment in the Benson Cemetery. Biersborn Funeral Home of Union handled arrangements. Ruby Prim was born to Robie and Bertha Chrisman Prim on October 19, 1931. She was raised in Whitten, graduating from Whitten High School in 1950. She worked at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center as a nurses aide until 1975, and retired due to ill health. Later she entered Westwood Care Center. In July, 1992, she moved to the Lutheran Manor Nursing Home in Dubuque. She was a member of the Whitten Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy (Richard) Knight of Dubuque; one sister, Rosie (Wayne) Wiley of Albion; one brother, Howard Prim of Marshalltown; and three grandchildren. Added 27 Sep 2021
