Description	:	Ruby Mae Merringer, 87, of Ottumwa, died at 12:30 p.m. June 2, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa. She was born April 26, 1929 in Ottumwa to Harold and Mabel Eddy Reeves. She married Irvin L. "Buzz" Merringer on March 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2010. Ruby was a member of the Davis St. Christian Church. She loved spending time with family and caring for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two half-sisters, Lois Funk and Marge Sipes; a grandson-in-law, Joe Blommers. Her body has been cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa or Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa Hospice. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Published on June 3, 2016 Ottumwa Courier
