Surviving are her husband, Alton; three daughters, Pearl (Mrs. George Adshade), River Philip Centre, Juanita Mattison, Springhill, Marie (Mrs. Ian Kidd), Saint John, N.B.; three sons, Douglas, Cranbrook, B.C., Donald, Saint John, and Garnet, Truro; a sister, Mrs. Sadie MacDonald, Northport, Cumberland County; a brother, Carl, Mount Pleasant, Cumberland County; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sons, Leon and Clair and two infants; three sisters, Arnetta (Nettie), Carrie and Annie; five brothers, Alex, Harvey, Frank, Archibald and Layton. The body is in Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford, where the funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Dewis Rector officiating, with burial in River Philip Centre United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the River Phillip Centre United Church Building Fund.
