Description	:	Ruby MacDonald Cloud, 80, of East Helena passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Oct. 4, 2003, at St. Peter's Hospital after complication following surgery. Ruby Maude Lane was born July 24, 1923, in Red Lodge to Tracy and Mabel Lane. She married Donald Greer MacDonald in 1942 in Red Lodge. Read More	Ruby MacDonald Cloud, 80, of East Helena passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Oct. 4, 2003, at St. Peter's Hospital after complication following surgery. Ruby Maude Lane was born July 24, 1923, in Red Lodge to Tracy and Mabel Lane. She married Donald Greer MacDonald in 1942 in Red Lodge. After traveling with the Bureau of Reclamation, they moved to Don's hometown, Cooke City. There they raised four of their five children, Sandy, Randy, Richard and Donna. In 1952 they moved to East Helena where they later had their fifth child, Nelma. They were divorced after 21 years of marriage, but remained friends until Don's death in 1992. Ruby worked for Montana Meats Packing Co. until its closure in 1969. Ruby met her second husband J.W. "Jocko" Cloud in 1966 and they were married in 1967 for 26 years until Jocko's death in 1993. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, her first husband Don, her second husband Jocko, a daughter-in-law, Karen and a step-grandson, Steve. She is survived by her three sons, Sandy (Mickey), Randy (Marilyn) and Richard MacDonald; two daughters, Donna MacDonald and Nelma (Shane) Mosier; and two step-sons, Jerry and Don Cloud, 11 grandkids, 17 great-grandkids, eight step-grandkids, 14 step-great-grandkids and three great-great-grandkids. She is also survived by her brother Leonard (Frances) Lane, her sisters Harriet Wedel and Lillian (Paul) Harris, her sister-in-law, Nelma Lane and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby loved her cats, playing the guitar, singing, yodeling, writing poems and song lyrics and she loved to gamble. Services will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. from Hagler-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Jackson Haas, Chaplain of St. Peter's Hospital. Memorials may be sent to God's Love, 533 N. Main St., Helena, MT 59601 or the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, MT 59604. Services have been entrusted to Hagler-Anderson Funeral Home.
