She was born Aug. 30, 1902, in Story City, a daughter of John and Emma Louise Egenes. She and William Hensel were married Dec. 31, 1927. Mrs. Hensel was a school teacher, school secretary, volunteer, choir member and traveler. She was a longtime resident of Auburn and had lived in Pinellas Park and Gainesville, Fla. in recent years. Mrs. Hensel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn. Survivors include four sons: Dr. James Hensel of Florida; Roy Hensel of New Jersey; Art Hensel of Florida; and Harold Hensel of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Marsha Miller, of California; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Neveln, of Illinois.
