Description	:	Ruby Olive Carl was born on January 19, 1912, in rural Olin, Iowa, the daughter of Forest Dallas and Edna Olive (Miller) Carl. She attended school in Davenport, Anamosa and Moulton, and graduated from Onslow High School. She lived most of her life in Appanoose and Jones counties. She married Lumir Martin Holub on September 26, 1934 at West Liberty, Iowa. He died on August 14, 1999. Ruby was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, and loved her home and family. Read More	Ruby Olive Carl was born on January 19, 1912, in rural Olin, Iowa, the daughter of Forest Dallas and Edna Olive (Miller) Carl. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church since 1934, serving as a board member, president of the U.M.W., taught Sunday school class for several years, and was a leader of the P.M. Circle and its activities. She was also a member of the Midland Homemakers, So & Sew Club, Jones County Farm Bureau Women, Wyoming Over 60 Club, and was an organizer of the Wyoming Polly Pigtails 4-H Club. She sold Stanley Home Products and Avon for many years. She is survived by 4 daughters, Nancy (Arvene) Doering, of Hubbard, Barbara (Donald) Mackey, of Tipton, Connie (John) Burhop, of Oxford Junction, and Melody (Richard) Nelms, of Clinton, one foster daughter, Bonnie (Todd) Swick, of Tipton, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one sister, Frances Carl, of Lowden, and a sister-in-law, Betty Carl, of Anamosa. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a step-father, one grandson, Perry Martin Burhop, a sister and a brother.
