Cantrell Sr., went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Ruby was born August 2, 1923, in the Cooley Springs community of Spartanburg, SC, to the late Sidney and Geneva Robbins. Ruby was born August 2, 1923, in the Cooley Springs community of Spartanburg, SC, to the late Sidney and Geneva Robbins. A graduate of Cooley Springs High School, she was Valedictorian of the Class of 1940. She attended Fairview Baptist Church in Spartanburg and was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Ruby loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren, her poppies, and flowers. Surviving are her three daughters, Linda Rollins (Gerald) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jean Mitchem (Rick) of Tryon, NC, Debra Moore (James) of Chesnee, SC; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Sue Cantrell and Ann Cantrell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Wayne Cantrell and Wylie Cantrell, Jr.; three brothers; and five sisters. Visitation was 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, March 6, 2015, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services followed at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ty Childers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Pallbearers were Chris Rollins, David Rollins, James Moore, John Cantrell, Kenneth Cantrell, and Jason Lemmonds.
