Mr. Sievers entered into rest April 11 at the family home here. Rev. Fred Fleker will officiate at the service. Pallbearers will be Harry Krohn, Robert Krohn, Norman Sievers, Herbert Sievers, John Rethwisch and Harry Voss. Mrs. Arnold Johannsen and Mrs. Arnold Lebeck are singers with Carol Ann Bigelow as organist. Interment will be in the Walnut Cemetery. ... OBITUARY Rudolph Ben Sievers, son of the late Hans and Emma (nee Duwe) Sievers, was born near Walnut, Iowa on Feb. 20 1886. On Feb. 26, 1913, he was united in marriage to Miss Hulda Voss. This union was blessed with the birth of five sons. The young couple made their home on a farm near Walnut. Mr. Sievers farmed in the Walnut community until his retirement in 1941. After suffering a lingering illness he passed away at the family home on Monday April 11, 1960. All was done that loving hands could do to comfort him. Two brothers Julius and Fred, preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Hulda; five sons, Marvin of Walnut, Vernon of Council Bluffs, Orville of Avoca, Francis of Portland, Ore. and Arnold of Atlantic; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Krohn and Mrs. Hattie Topp, both of Avoca; two brothers, Lewie and Lawrence, both of Walnut; ten grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. He acquired the age of 74 years, 1 month and 22 days. WALNUT BUREAU Thursday, April 14, 1960
