Born Sept. 18, 1941, in Carbondale, he was the son of Wanda Howson Dicken Clark of New Marshfield and the late Charles Dicken. A graduate of Waterloo High School, he attended Ohio University. Read More	Athens Messenger - February 21, 2008 NEW MARSHFIELD - Rudolph E. "Rudy" Dicken, 66, of New Marshfield, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 19, 2008, at The Cleveland Clinic. Born Sept. 18, 1941, in Carbondale, he was the son of Wanda Howson Dicken Clark of New Marshfield and the late Charles Dicken. A graduate of Waterloo High School, he attended Ohio University. Early in life, he worked at the Waterloo Wildlife Experimental Station. He retired from AEP (C&SOE) in 1999, as a generating control operator and unit supervisor at Poston and Conesville power stations. He was a member of Athens Church of Christ. He was a former coach for Bitty League and junior high basketball, and also was an avid golfer. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Baumgardner; and two brothers, Raymond and Terry Dicken. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at Athens Church of Christ, West Union Street, with the Rev. Chris MacNeal officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Athens American Legion, and the Athens and Albany VFW Posts.
