Description	:	Ruegene Ruth Linville was born Sept. 9, 1924 at home, daughter of Charles and Hazel Steveson Wiese. She grew up in the Montour area and attended Montour school. After graduation she went to work with United Airlines. Later she worked for the airline for two years at Elko, Nev., then in California for three years. Ruegene married Roy Giest in California and to this marriage a daughter, was born. Ruegene and her daughter moved back to Montour in 1948. Read More	Ruegene Ruth Linville was born Sept. 9, 1924 at home, daughter of Charles and Hazel Steveson Wiese. She grew up in the Montour area and attended Montour school. After graduation she went to work with United Airlines. Later she worked for the airline for two years at Elko, Nev., then in California for three years. Ruegene married Roy Giest in California and to this marriage a daughter, was born. Ruegene and her daughter moved back to Montour in 1948. She was united in marriage to Charles Linville in Montour Feb. 12, 1949. She had been an active person in the life of the community. She was a 4-H leader and founder of the Montour Ramblers 4-H Club, a member of the Federated Woman's Club, and active worker in the United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service and the Legion Auxiliary. Her concern for and interest in her church can be illustrated by how she had helped with the painting and work on the remodeling of the church when even at that time she was suffering physically. She had been a surgical patient at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines this fall but had been home for a short period before being taken to Marshalltown Community Hospital on Nov. 25 and died there Dec. 10.
