Fraser, son of Donald and Martha Fraser, was born at Brooklyn, Iowa, March 16, 1880, and died at his home in Anthon, Iowa, September 1, 1936, at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 15 days. He came with his parents to Anthon 44 years ago and since then had lived in and around Anthon. On June 14, 1905, the deceased was united in marriage to Letha Waldo, who preceded him in death February 7, 1935. Most of their married life was spent on a farm near Anthon and the Frasers moved to town in the fall of 1930 when ill health forced them to retire. Although Mr. Fraser had been in failing health since then, his death came as a great shock to the whole community. In his early boyhood he became a member of the Christian Church. He leaves to mourn his departure, his daughter, Darlene; a sister, Mrs. Edna Moore of Anthon, and one brother, Walter A. of Brooklyn, Iowa; together with a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Fraser was a member of the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah lodges and was active in both until the last. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the M.E. Church with Rev. J.H. Machian of Rockwell City officiating; and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
