He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1941 and attended Iowa State. He farmed northwest of Sigourney. On June 10, 1944 he married Ramona Burkhalter in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sigourney, a 70 year member of Webb Lodge #182 A.F. and A.M. a former member of Davenport Consistory Kaaba Shrine, the Keokuk County Izaak Walton League for 30 years, and served on the Keokuk County Conservation Board for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger Aldinger. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Ramona. Funeral Service: Thursday 10:30 am United Methodist Church-Sigourney. Burial: Memorial Lawn Cemetery-Ottumwa, Iowa. Visitation: Wednesday 4-7 pm with a Masonic Service at 7 pm Holm Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established to his Church or the Masonic Lodge.
