Description	:	Mr. Russell Earl Skidmore, 71, a resident of Route 2, Clarksburg, and more recently a resident of Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, departed this life at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, at the center. He had been in declining health for the past several months. He was born Aug. 24, 1934, at Junior, a son of the late Claude Harold Skidmore and Alma Pearl Moore Skidmore. On Jan. 22, 1955, at the Belington Baptist Church, he was united in marriage to the former Norigail Rosenberger, who survives at their home in Clarksburg. In addition to his wife, Mr. Skidmore is survived by one son, James Howard Skidmore of Clarksburg; one daughter Janet Christine Parramore of Winter Park, Fla.; four grandchildren, Michael Skidmore, Andrew Skidmore, John Russell Skidmore and Zachary Parramore. Also surviving are two brothers, Eddie and Jimmy Skidmore; and two sisters, Sue Spencer and Eleanor Bibey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Skidmore; and one sister, Betty “Booper” Ferguson. Mr. Skidmore attended the schools of Barbour County and graduated from Belington High School with the class of 1953. He was a former glass worker having been employed at Adamston Flat Glass, and had retired from the Harrison County Board of Education. He had assisted with Pop Warner Football in Harrison County and was a member of Eastview United Methodist Church of Clarksburg. Final rites will be conducted from the Talbott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Doyle Neil Rider officiating. At the request of the deceased, his remains will be cremated. Talbott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Russell Earl Skidmore.
