Description	:	Russell Faircloth, 73, of 105 2nd Street, Garwin, died Tuesday morning, August 9th, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. His death came peacefully at 7:00 A.M. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Robert Doner of the Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook officiating. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Russell and his family. Born on April 18th, 1932, in Kellogg, Iowa, he was the son of Arthur and Eunice (Shill) Faircloth. He attended school in Laurel and Rhodes, graduating from the Rhodes High School's Class of 1950. On February 16th, 1952, he was united in marriage to Peggy Gallentine in Marshalltown. They made their home in Marshalltown, Gladbrook Lake, Rhodes and Garwin. Mr. Faircloth was employed at the State Center Creamery and Meeker Laundry before working at Fisher Controls for 35 years. After retirement, he worked for Meskwaki, Lewis Distributing and Iowa Machine Shop. Russell had been a member of the Central Christian Church in Marshalltown and the Lucky 7 Hunting Club. Russell will be fondly remembered for his love of family, the outdoors - hunting and fishing - fixing things and farming. He enjoyed people and was always wearing a smile. He will be greatly missed by many. Left to celebrate his life are his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy, his children Bill (Becky) Faircloth of rural Toledo, Dan Faircloth of Garwin, Susan (Laverne) Wegner of Gladbrook and Sarah (Dale) Kunch of Marshalltown, nine grandchildren: Jason, Ryan, Joel, Dan, Jr., Heather, Nicole, Vanessa, Stephanie and Holly, nine great-grandchildren: Chance, Hunter, Kaylee, Braydon, Madison, Greenlee, Tyler, Janessa and Deven, his siblings Beatrice (Herb) Waltemeyer in Colorado, Helen (Don) Rittierodt in Colorado, Marvel (Dick) Van Zwol of State Center, Bill (Ardith) Faircloth of State Center and John "Jake" Faircloth of Forest City as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death he has rejoined his parents, son Russell, Jr., great-grandson Keegan Levis and sister Betty Schuler.
