Russell was born April 5, 1944 to the late Everett V. Owens and Helen Geraldine Rowlett. He graduated from Graham High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Russell spent his working career as a mechanic. He married Linda Hoague on Feb. 5, 1979 in Oregon. City, Christopher Owens, Mound City, Donald (Mary) Bohannon, Alburg, Vermont, Sherri (Bret) Wallace, Maryville, Ray (Tobie) Bohannon, Barnard, and Nathan Owens, Graham; two brothers, Curtis Owens, Lake St. Louis, Steven (Connie) Owens, Alba, Texas, and a sister, Sherri (Lester) Barrett, Graham. Russell had 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Russell will be cremated. The family is hosting a memorial service at the New Community Building in Graham on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. to celebrate and honor Russell's life. There will be a luncheon after the service. The family has requested memorials to the American Caner Society or SSM Hospice of St. Francis in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of Price Funeral Home."
