The teacher was stricken at 7:30 last evening and died two hours later, but the coroner's office announced the death was due to natural causes... The coroner's office had at first requested Miss Harris' family that a post-mortem be conducted. Miss Harris had taught in Cass and Adair counties and at Iowa City for the last ten years, going to Chicago this fall to teach in the schools there. She was born July 24, 1903 on a farm southeast of Anita in Adair county, the daughter of A. L. and Rowena Harris. she was graduated from the Anita high school and Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. Her mother died July 4, 1936 and a sister, Dotts, also preceded her in death, in 1901. Surviving are the father; seven brothers, Cluade E. of Morris, Illinois; Carrie L., of Campbell, California; Merritt W. of Mount City, Missouri; Fay L., of Orient; Clifford, Van N., and Boyd Harris, all of Adair; and one sister, Mrs. India Spry, of Wiota. Mrs. Spry and her husband Clause, and Clifford Harris of Adair left this morning for Chicago and will return the body to the family home. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.
