(Dugger) Lif Prickett, 97, of Bridgeport, died June 21, 2011, at Heritage Nursing Home of Bridgeport. Ruth was the oldest of five children born to Marian and Clara (Satchell) Dugger. She was born July 26, 1913 in a sod house south of Court House Rock. She lived in that sod house until 1936 and was a life-long resident of Morrill County. Ruth attended High School at Bridgeport and was believed to be the last surviving member of the class of 1931. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church from 1925 until the time of her death. In 1936 Ruth married Eric Arthur Lif in Scottsbluff. Two sons were born to this union; Herbert Dale and Leonard Gene. They were married until Art's death in 1965. She married Oral Prickett at Bridgeport in 1985. Oral died in 2000. She served as a Past State Officer for the Royalty Rebekah Lodge #311. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and Hobby Club. She enjoyed reminding her grandchildren that she had a driver's license in excess of 80 years with no citations. During WWII she helped with the canteen in North Platte, NE, feeding returning servicemen. Ruth held a variety of jobs. In the early 1950's she owned a grocery store with her mother, D & L Groceries. She worked as a bookkeeper for the local lumberyard and as a nurse's aide at Bridgeport Hospital. She worked for Dr. H.A. Blackstone until his retirement. Survivors include her sons, Herb (Treva) of Roseville, CA, Leonard (Uzene) of Bridgeport; grandchildren Deanne Bilby, Brian Lif, Phil Lif and Troy Lif; great grandchildren Justin, Jessica and Jared Bilby and Heidi Lif; and great-great granddaughter Hailey Rae Antoine; and brothers Bill Dugger and Lester Dugger. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers Bob Dugger and Herbert Dugger, and sister Mary Feisterman.
