Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m. and the Farley Fire Department will meet in body at 7 p.m. Mrs. Dolphin was a child care provider in her home in Farley, and later worked part time at the Farley Race Track, the Zip Trip in Farley, and also was a correspondent for the Dyersville Commercial. She was born on Feb. 5, 1941, at Farley, daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Kramer) Kramer. She died after a short and courageous battle with cancer at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1995, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque. She married Dallas Dolphin on Sept. 8, 1962, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic School, Farley. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its altar and rosary society, the Tri-State Antique Club, and a former member of the Farley Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Dallas Dolphin, of Farley; five sons, Mark (Linda) Dolphin, of Farley, Terry (Laurie) Dolphin, of Dubuque, and Jeff (Vickie), Brian (Tami) and Kevin (and his fiancee Ann Krogmann) Dolphin, all of Farley; five grandchildren; three sisters, Doris M. (Cyril) Pins, of Dyersville, Sister Margaret Ann Kramer, of Waukon, and Marilyn (Dave) Kluesner, of Farley; and two brothers, Lloyd (Marlene) Kramer, of Farley, and Merlin J. (Lois) Kramer, of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Ruth A. Dolphin Memorial Fund has been established.
