Schreiber was born June 14, 1934, in Columbus to Albert and Frieda (Roth) Gigax. Ruth was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. She grew up on a farm north of Columbus and attended grade school at District 10 and attended Kramer High School in Columbus. Schreiber was born June 14, 1934, in Columbus to Albert and Frieda (Roth) Gigax. Ruth was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. She grew up on a farm north of Columbus and attended grade school at District 10 and attended Kramer High School in Columbus. She married Willis Schreiber of Columbus on Sept. 24, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They moved to the Schreiber family farm north of Columbus. Ruth was an active member of L.W.M.L. and The Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Golden Keys Extension Club of Columbus till present. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gardening and love the family pets. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Twila (Mike) Wurdeman of Leigh and Gail (Mike) Stachura of Lincoln; son, Gary Schreiber of Columbus; brother-in-law, Norman Dirks of Columbus; sister-in-law, Margaret Gigax of Omaha; grandchildren, Karrie (Shahveer) Challa of Houston, Texas, Cody (Lori) Engel of Columbus, Donald Boone (Shelby) Engel of Duncan, Nathan Wurdeman of Grand Island, Nicole (Scott) Sloma of Columbus, Danielle (Jeff) Langan of Platte Center, Paige Schreiber of Omaha, Amy (Jason) Jazwick of Lincoln and Shelly Moore (Mitch Sliva) of Columbus; and 20 great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Frieda Gigax; ex-husband, Willis Schreiber; daughter, Glenda Schreiber; sisters, Ethel Gigax and Mildred Dirks; and brother, Harold Gigax.
