Read More	Ruth Anne (Stahly) Fosler was born February 15, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Kenneth and Frances (Alderson) Stahly, 3rd of 6 children and passed away peacefully Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Greene Place in Seward at the age of 70. As a young girl, Ruth attended Milford Public School graduating with the class of 1965. After graduating, Ruth worked at the Sinclair Gas Station and café. On March 6, 1966, she was united in marriage to Dwaine Fosler in Milford. To this union three children were born, Teresa, David and Thomas. Together they lived southwest of Milford where Ruth was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. They moved to the family farm north of Milford in 1974 where Ruth delighted in the rigors of country life, caring for her large flower and vegetable garden, her horses and animals, and raising their children. On Sunday afternoons, Ruth and Dwaine would often take their children and ride horseback with family and friends. In 1979, Ruth began as a part-time custodian at the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company, where she worked her way up until she retired in 1997 in commercial customer service from Aliant Communications. Afterwards, Ruth worked elsewhere until she fully retired to a life on the farm. Ruth was involved in many clubs and activities. She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church since she was a teenager, where she sang in the church choir; and the OES, Blue River Chapter 132, where she served in many capacities including worthy matron. She was a long-time member of the both the Seward County Sheriff’s Posse and the O-Town Extension Club. She was a part of the Seward TOPS Club; she played the saxophone in the Seward Municipal Band, was part of Milford's recreational volleyball league, and an avid reader, word de-jumbler and cryptoquote solver. Ruth was talented and adventurous, enjoying beauty and aesthetic through a variety of arts and craftwork. She was an excellent seamstress-sewing, knitting, or crocheting clothes, blankets, or dolls-she did tole painting, woodwork, and countless craft projects. She even earned her black sash in Tai Chi Chu'an. Ruth loved music, flowers, stories and poetry; she loved to try new things and travel to different places. But most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dwaine; daughter, Teresa Mott and her family; husband Thad and children Emma, Elijah, and Esther, all of Omaha, son, David and his family; wife Michelle (Everett) Fosler and children, Timothy and Rachael, all of Powers Lake, WI; youngest son, Tom and his family; wife Cathie (Henkins) Fosler and their children, Jonathyn, Emily, and Allyson, all living along side Ruth and Dwaine on the family farm. Ruth is also survived by her sisters and brothers; Jane and her husband Don Andersen of Ponca; Mary and her husband Gerald Wakeley of Norfolk; Mike and his wife Kelly (Hagemoser) Stahly, of Lincoln; Susan and her husband, Delbert Allen of Lincoln; Pat and Jan (Austen) Stahly of Northfield, MN. She also survived by her aunt, Helen Alderson of Tempe, AZ, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, Glenn and Emma Fosler. Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Milford United Methodist Church with Pastor Lyle Schoen officiating. Interment is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 1-5:00 p.m. at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, and from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church where the family will receive relatives and friends. A Viewing also 1 hour prior to services at church. Memorials have been established and may be directed in care of the family. Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, is entrusted with the care and arrangements.
