She was the daughter of the late John Burton and Belle Vaughan. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to many. She attended Walker United Methodist Church, was a Sunday School teacher and song leader until she was unable to attend. She was born at Floe in Clay County, WV on August 30, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John Burton and Belle Vaughan. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to many. She will be deeply missed by many family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Anna Vaughan, husband Fountain Yost, three sisters, Mabel Smith, Ruby Hensley, and Geneva Snyder; one brother, Paul Vaughan; son-in-law, Nolan Butler, and a great-grandchild, Lucas. Burial in Yost Cemetery.
