Rutherford, born on December 7,1916 in Claysville, IN., and graduated from Campbellsburg(IN) High School in1934. In 1936 she graduated from the New Albany Business College and took post-graduate work at Central Business College in Indianapolis. She also earned credits from Indiana University. Rutherford, born on December 7,1916 in Claysville, IN., and graduated from Campbellsburg(IN) High School in1934. In 1936 she graduated from the New Albany Business College and took post-graduate work at Central Business College in Indianapolis. She also earned credits from Indiana University. Ruth was employed as a clerk-typist in the Procurement Divisions of the War Department from 1942-1946. At that time she transferred to the Treasury Department, Bureau of Internal Revenue, working as a clerk-typist until 1953. After her retirement from the Internal Revenue, she worked closely with her husband Paul at the Seabrook Funeral Home, now Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, where she served as bookkeeper until 2012. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, New Albany Chapter #340. Ruth was a former member of the Lost River Baptist Church in Claysville, IN., and in 1977 moved her membership to the Culbertson Baptist Church where she lived true to her God, faithful to her family, and kind and cheerful to her friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul W. Seabrook, whom she married on October 24,1953, her stepson: Donald C. Seabrook, her parents: Edwin R. and Fern V.(Wible) Rutherford, her sisters: Elizabeth F.Hackney, Edith R.Newlin, Imogene K. Chastain, and her brother: John W.Rutherford. Survivors include: Her step-daughter: Marilyn Pinaire Her daughter-in-law: Floris Seabrook 4 grandchildren: Mark Seabrook, Karen Bunch, Susan Pinaire Breece & Stephen Pinaire 8 Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren And 9 nieces and nephews and their families including Martha Rutherford of Paoli, IN. who cared for her.
