Description	:	Ruth Bandle Wells, daughter of Bertha Bandle and John P. Wells, was born August 16, 1904, and died December 24, 1964, at Oakland, Calif. At the time of her death she was 60 years, 4 months and 8 days of age. She was graduated from Lake View High School in 1922 and the University of Nebraska in 1926. At Nebraska she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was active in campus activities and served as president of the Womens Student Governing Association her senior year. She took her master degree in 1927... Read More	Ruth Bandle Wells, daughter of Bertha Bandle and John P. Wells, was born August 16, 1904, and died December 24, 1964, at Oakland, Calif. At the time of her death she was 60 years, 4 months and 8 days of age. She was graduated from Lake View High School in 1922 and the University of Nebraska in 1926. At Nebraska she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was active in campus activities and served as president of the Womens Student Governing Association her senior year. She took her master degree in 1927 at the Prince School at Boston. The rest of her life was spent on the west coast, with occasional visits to Iowa. She was personnel manager for the Bon Marche store in Seattle and Kahns in Oakland for many years. The past seven years, following serious illness, she had been living in semi retirement in Oakland. Miss Wells was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Fay Messenger and brothers, Paul, John Jr., and Fred. Survivors are seven nieces and nephews: Velva, daughter of Fay Messenger; Wilda, Audrey, Bettye and Paul, Jr., children of Paul Wells; Lorraine Hill and Kenneth, children of Fred Wells. Services were held December 29 in Oakland, Calif. at Trumans Chapel with Rev. C. Douglas Hayward in charge and at Lake View December 31 at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Olson in charge. Casket bearers were Harland Wetzstein, Chris Zein, Francis McShane, Everett Scott, Floyd Parkinson and Ed Drilling, Sr. Burial was in the Wall Lake Cemetery.
